INTRODUCTION
The goal of this project was too create a water purification or conservation based product. The main focus on this project was chemistry, as it had to be part of our problem or solution. Our group was inspired by P & G's water purification packets, which were shown to us in a class presentation, and wanted to recreate them. So, rather that create a new solution we focused on seeing if we could recreate the packets with the materials we had.
Concepts
Ions - An atom or molecule with a positive or negative electric charge due to its electron count.
Ionic Bonding - A type of chemical bond that is due to the transfer of valiance electrons.
Covalent Bond - A type of chemical bond that is due to the sharing of electrons.
Valance Electron - The electrons on the outer shell of an atom that determines how it bonds.
Solute - What is dissolved by a solvent in a solution.
Solvent - What dissolves the solute in a solution.
Solution - A mixture where a solute is dissolved in a solvent.
pH - Potential Hydrogen, the measure of acidity in a liquid base on its hydrogen ion content.
Coagulation - A chemical process of particles bonding into larger particles. These clumps usually either sink or float.
Flocculation - A physical process of separation from and then coming together of particles. These clumps usually either sink or float.
Chlorides - A compound that contains the element chlorine. These are very water soluble and kill off bacteria and other undesired lifeforms.

Product/Presentation
Reflection
At the beginning of this project we weren't all that confident but after presenting we realize we actually did pretty well. My group of Diego, Chris, Chris, and Myself (We added Zane's name as a little inside joke) did pretty well together and definitely created a product we can be proud of. We nailed four out of the six C's. Those being communication, collaboration, critical thinking, and cultural competence. We worked well and communicated with each other, even though there were scarcely days where all four of us were here. We actually were able to create a product with materials on hand, displaying our critical thinking, and we displayed cultural competence by simply doing the assignment and acknowledging how lucky we were to have and be able to purify our water. The two C's we struggled a little with were conscientious learning and character. We had trouble keeping tome and ended up being rushed by the end of our project. This led to us having to do fewer tests and gather less data, not a good display of conscientious learning. The character struggle we had wasn't as detrimental but it was still a problem. We ended up being pretty tired and that made us seem very uninterested for our presentation, not the biggest flaw, but it still should be improved upon. In conclusion we did well and are proud of our success even if we didn't show off all six c's. So I would say this project is a succes for us.
