This unit consisted of two parts, the robot art show, and power Novato projects. In the robot art show we used arduino boards and had to write our own code to make an art show. In the power Novato project we had to make a microgrid for either Novato or San Marin. We also learned a lot about electricity and how it works for both these projects.
Electricity Concepts
Circuit- A complete loop of conductive material from one side of a power source to the other.
Voltage- The potential difference from one end to the other end of a component. Measured in Volts.
Current- The flow of electrons in a conductive material. Measured in Amps.
Resistance- The amount the current is slowed or resisted through an obstacle. Measured in Ohms.
Ohms Law- V=IR
Series Circuit- Resistors/components are in a series and the loop goes through all of them. r(total)=r(1)+r(2)+r(3)
Parallel Circuit- Resistors/components are are on separate paths and the loop goes through either/ any path. 1/r(total)=1/r1+1/r2+1/r3
Power- Rate at witch electrical energy is transferred by a circuit. V=ir

Robot Art Show
The first part of this unit was with arduino boards, my partner in this part was Daniel Ford. The robot art show was to go through many different scenarios with arduino boards to get used to the code and how to make circuits. Then we used that knowledge to make our own circuit and code.
Our circuit used a buzzer to play the Pokemon theme song then it would have three multi-LED's flash patterns of red, green, and blue.
Power Novato
The second part of this unit was the power Novato project. We prefaced this by going on a trip to a microgrid. My group for this project was Daniel Ford, Sarah, and Kiki. We were only given three days for this project so our plan has many holes.
Reflection
This unit was probably the most difficult to date. The major difficulty being a three day time limit, and a feeling of being rushed due to the lack of build-up. I'd say that my biggest strengths in this unit was my cooperation and my support of others, especially in the arduino part. I'd say my biggest weaknesses were my being off-task and not being serious which both really ruined our slideshow. Next time I should avoid that and be more serious. All in all these were fun projects, my favorite of the two being the arduino, this was an enjoyable time.
